Aware Support did not target particular groups of people; it targeted all people who are willing to listen. Aware Support had volunteers which did all the promotional work. The volunteers were grouped into teams which went across the country to communicate what violations of human rights take place in this world and that we should enjoy the freedom we have, for example, in the Netherlands.
What did Aware Support actually do?
Aware Support visited parties, festivals and other events throughout the country. You could often also find Aware Support in busy towns/cities. Aware Support teams approached people and inform them about Project Aware. They collected support of the general public against torture and resistance by collecting digital signatures. They used flyers and promotional materials to do this, including ‘Photo4Freedom.’
Photo4Freedom
Photo4Freedom was regularly used for support/sponsorship events. This involved describing what freedom really meant to you in a picture like manner, after providing your vote for freedom.
From your description, a photo was evolved or developed representing the picture you personally described as being freedom. The photo was then framed and sent to you. You could then pass it on, with its underlying meaning/message to your friends, family or loved ones online or do with it whatever you pleased.
